SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- An estimated 30,000 people showed up to cheer on the Pennsylvania team at the Little League World Series Wednesday night. Many waited in line for hours, just to secure a seat in the grandstands at Lamade Stadium.

It looked like a sea of red had taken over the Little League World Series.

Thousands from all over Pennsylvania came to support the Red Land Little League team, as they played their third game in this series.

"The boys have said that they love the support. They go, 'It's awesome looking up and seeing a sea of red.' The other day on ESPN, I believe you heard the little boy say they have the most fans in the world!" said Travis Sooy, the father of Red Land player.

Sooy's son is an outfielder for Red Land and he's been here all week, but is still surprised at all the people that have come to cheer on this team.

Lamade Stadium holds 3,500 people but Little League officials say about 30,000 people came to watch Wednesday night's game.

"People were like, 'Oh my God! People are sitting on top of each other.' It's crazy up there, on the hill," said Brianne Glennon of Williamsport.

Glennon and her family opted to try and sit in the grandstands, but tickets were limited and people still had to stand in line for hours to get a good seat.

"It's supposed to get crazy, so I'd rather be safe than sorry," Glennon said.

With moments like this, Red Land fans say it's worth all the wait.

"That's why you want to come. You want to come see an exciting game. You want to come see them win and see them do it in a good fashion," said Tyler Pottgider of Orrstown.

Red Land beat the Texas team 3-0. They will go on to play in the U.S. championship game on Saturday.
