WILKES-BARRE -- A former teacher in Luzerne County was released from prison after serving 11 months for child sex charges.
Lauren Harrington-Cooper was sentenced to up to two years in jail in September of last year.
She was granted parole Wednesday.
The former Wyoming Valley West English teacher pleaded guilty last year and was sentenced to nine to 23 months in prison.
Harrington-Cooper had sexual contact with one boy and exchanged inappropriate text messages with another while employed by the Wyoming Valley West School District.
