SCRANTON -- It's a bad case of deja vu for Montage Mountain Waterpark and its customers. The park in Scranton was forced to close after a transformer blew in the early morning hours Monday knocking out power for the whole waterpark.

The park was hustling to open for the general public following The Peach Music Festival over the weekend.

You may remember, it was a water main break along Montage Mountain Road in Moosic that shut down the waterpark last month. That closure came only two days after the Camp Bisco music festival.

Concert promoter Live Nation rents the waterpark during those festival weekends. There's no word if the festivals, which each draw thousands of campers to Montage, have anything to do with the utility problems.

Montage Mountain Waterpark is catching flack on social media since both problems came after weekends when the general public was not allowed at the park. On its Facebook page, Montage promised a perk to its season ticket holders saying, "...for our season members we will be opening at 10am until 8/28, where they can enjoy the waterpark for an extra hour prior to the public`s arrival."
