A source says that state attorney general and Scranton native Kathleen Kane has been told she will be charged with leaking confidential grand jury information and lying about it.
According to sources, a prosecutor in Montgomery County is expected to announce Thursday that Kane will be charged with perjury, criminal contempt, and obstruction of justice.
The charges stem from a special prosecutor’s investigation last year where a grand jury recommended criminal charges against Kane.
The attorney general and her lawyers have not commented.
