WEST BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP — A man from Philadelphia drowned over the weekend in Schuylkill County, according to state police.
It happened in the Schuylkill River at an area known as “The Rock” near Port Clinton.
Troopers said Davyd Tarasyuk, 20, of Philadelphia drowned when he was unable to swim across the river.
Officials say swimming is not authorized in this area and that signs are regularly ignored or torn down.
