Demolition Set to Begin at Former Energy Plant

SCRANTON -- Demolition is scheduled to start at a former plant in Scranton on Sunday.

Community Central Energy Plant's smoke stack is supposed to come down around 7 in the morning.

The plant closed in the late 1990s.

An oil tank on the property leaked into the Lackawanna River about a year ago.

Demolition is expected to last about month in Scranton.
