Man Thrown off Dirt Bike Dies

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP —  State police said a rider was not wearing a helmet in a deadly dirt bike crash in Susquehanna County.

Authorities said the bike driven by a 30-year-old from New York hit a guide rail on a curve on Jones Creek Road east of Hallstead Sunday night.

Troopers said the man hit a tree after he was thrown from his bike.

The coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
