COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP -- Pocono Mountain Regional Police have had to deal with four violent crimes within the past 24 hours, and one of them appears to be a domestic dispute that turned deadly.

Three of those four violent crimes happened in A Pocono Country Place, a housing development in Tobyhanna.

One was an apparent domestic dispute that neighbors say turned into a horrific and deadly scene.

Yellow police tape is wrapped around a home on Chipmunk Drive in A Pocono Country Place. It's the latest violent crime scene for Pocono Mountain Regional police in just a 24-hour span.

"I see my neighbor yelling, 'Help! Help! Call 911,' so I told my wife, 'Call 911, let me see what's going on.'"

Lewis Pillier went to walk his dog around 11 a.m. Thursday and watched his new next door neighbor yell for help covered in blood.

Neighbor Eric Wacha's children saw it, too.

"My kids yelled, 'There's some guy going down the street with a bloody hand.' I thought something happened to my neighbor across the street, Lewis, and I quick ran out the door," said Wacha.

When the neighbors ran to help, they found the man's 40-year-old girlfriend just a few steps inside the door, and a gruesome scene.

"She's bleeding out. There's blood all over the place. She was cut in the neck or something like that, with a knife, I don't know, but I said she needs help now."

"She was gushing a lot of blood through her mouth, and shooting blood from the side."

Neighbors believe an argument happened before the woman was stabbed. Their 1-month-old child was home at the time. Now investigators are looking into this suspicious death

But that's not all. Police are investigating three incidents from Wednesday.

Someone was run over by a car and left in critical condition in A Pocono Country Place.

An attempted homicide was reported, also inside the development.

And there was an alleged assault on a police officer.

Folks living in this development in the Poconos say it's not something you ever want to see.

"No matter where you go, you've got it all over and unfortunately sometimes it is just closer to home than you would like."

Police have not released the name of the woman who died or the name of her boyfriend who remains in police custody.
