ARCHBALD -- A gas leak caused a brief scare for homeowners in Lackawanna County Sunday morning.
A contractor for Pennsylvania American Water was replacing a water main on Beech Street in Archbald when authorities said he hit a nearby gas line, causing a small leak.
Three homes were without gas service for a short period of time.
UGI crews fixed the leak and no evacuations were necessary.
