FAA to Investigate Plane Crash in Sullivan County

CHERRY TOWNSHIP — The FAA will investigate after a small plane crashed in Sullivan County Sunday morning.

Authorities say the plane crashed into a wooded area around 8 a.m. Sunday, shortly after taking off near Airport Road in Cherry Township.

The pilot and passenger, Richard Rexer, 55, and John Smithkors, 58, both of Dushore, went to the hospital to be checked out.
