DURYEA -- Some dogs rescued from a home in Lackawanna County were out and about in Luzerne County on Saturday.
Tracey's Hope Organization, an animal rescue group, hosted a reunion and meet and greet in Duryea for the dogs rescued from the home of John Tanis in Moosic.
Tanis was convicted of mistreating five of his dogs in December of last year.
At the event on Saturday, there were dogs for both foster homes and adoption.
Anyone who donated food, treats or cleaning supplies qualified to win a stay at Mohegan Sun Casino and Hotel in Luzerne County.
