STROUDSBURG – Dozens of people marched in Monroe County Thursday night for Take Back the Night.
The Feminist Alliance of East Stroudsburg University partnered with Women’s Resources of Monroe County to denounce sexual violence.
The march began at the Monroe County Courthouse in Stroudsburg and ended at East Stroudsburg University.
Women’s Resources said the walk is symbolic of the fear women have of walking the streets.
A rally followed the march at the university.
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and colleges and communities across the country come together to raise awareness against sexual abuse.
