SCRANTON -- A job fair was held Thursday in Scranton for members of the military and their families.

The Pennsylvania National Guard Employment Outreach Program brought together many employers and agencies to provide opportunities to those who serve and their loved ones.

It was held much of the day at the Armed Forces Reserve Center on Olyphant Avenue.

There were jobs available for anyone ages 16 and up from 50 employers.

"We try to focus in on employers who either have a reputation for being a military friendly employer or have a program to retain or draw in guardsmen in their organization," said Cpt. Gregory Kuleba, employment outreach coordinator.

The employment outreach program that organized the event helps find jobs from those in all states of military life just off deployment, leaving active duty, or serving in the National Guard.
