SCRANTON -- More than 3,000 runners are expected to hit the pavement in the Second Annual Scranton Half Marathon.

Newswatch 16 stopped by the half marathon expo in the Electric City where runners picked up their bibs for Sunday's race.

Vendors were on hand giving out some freebies and the Scranton Running Company was there to fill any last minute needs

For some runners this is the first time they will run such a long distance. We talked to a coach who trained some first timers.

"They're going to feel so great when they go across the finish line and finish the race," said Frank Swaha, running coach. "I have a lot of runners that trained last year for the Scranton half that all will probably exceed their expectations from what they did last year."

The expo wrapped up at 5 p.m. on Saturday. However, runners can still pick up their bibs Sunday morning before the race at the finish line at Memorial Stadium.

The race starts at 9 a.m. Sunday in Scranton.
