The Pittsburgh Penguins 1st round pick in 2014 (22nd overall) Kasperi Kapanen will make his AHL debut tonight for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins when they hit the ice at 7:05pm with Lehigh Valley.  Kapanen turns 19 in July and just finished playing in his native Finland.

Former 1st round picks for Pittsburgh include Mario Lemieux (1984), Jaromir Jagr (1990), Brooks Orpik (2000), Fleury (2003), Malkin (2004), and Crosby (2005).

Fighting for a playoff spot the Pittsburgh Penguins are home Friday night with the Islanders then on the road Saturday at Buffalo while the WBS Penguins sit in 4th place in the Eastern Conference and have two in Portland over the weekend before returning home next Friday and Saturday with Albany and Norfolk and finish out the regular season on Sunday April 19th back at Lehigh Valley.
