HANOVER TOWNSHIP -- For shoppers in Hanover Township, getting bargains at Goodwill just got a whole lot easier.

Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania opened its latest store in their neighborhood at the Hanover Mall. It's the ninth store there and is Goodwill's largest store in northeast Pennsylvania, said Gerry Langan, the President of Goodwill Industries of NEPA.

"We have seven stores and by square foot, this is our biggest store we have."

All that space means the store has a lot of room to fill with merchandise, said Langan.

Christine Kobrynich of Goodwill added, "We're waiting for donors to drop off new goods so we can process them, put it out. And everything we sell, all the money goes back into our mission."

The store was filled opening day Thursday, said Ruth Evans, a shopper.

"It's so nice and clean and sized and you don't have to go browsing looking through everything if it's torn," Evans said.

Shopper Kim Warho of Naticoke agreed.

"We found lots and lots of stuff so I'm really impressed," Warho said.

Right now, nine people work at the store, and managers say they're looking to hire about 10 more folks.
