WILKES-BARRE -- Member of the business, health care and media communities teamed up to fight heart disease and stroke in Wilkes-Barre.
Two members of the Newswatch 16 team were on hand for the annual "Northeast PA Heart Ball" at the Westmoreland Club on South Franklin Street.
Dave Bohman was the emcee and Don Jacobs served as the auctioneer.
Money raised from Saturday night's event benefits the American Heart Association.
"We as a community need to support the heart association so they continue to progress, improve their techniques, and improve the ability to address concerns and make people healthier in NEPA," said Greg Collins, Chairman of Northeast PA Heart Ball.
The theme of Saturday night's party in Wilkes-Barre was a "Great Gatsby."
