Plane Skids Off Runway at NY’s LaGuardia Airport

(CNN) — A Delta flight skidded off a runway late Thursday morning at New York’s LaGuardia airport.

There are no known injuries as a result and all passengers have been taken off the aircraft, according to New York’s fire department.

According to the National Weather Service, there was snow and freezing fog at the airport around the time of the incident.

Pictures show the aircraft on the ground at the snow-covered airport, with its nose raised. The pictures also show vehicles around the aircraft and several individuals.

According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the incident involved Delta Flight 1086.

That flight took off shortly after 9 a.m. from Atlanta and landed at LaGuardia airport at 11:05 a.m., according to Delta’s website.

LaGuardia Airport will be closed until 7 p.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said.
