NEWTON TOWNSHIP — An up and coming young singer from the Midwest is performing in Lackawanna County this weekend.
11-year-old Olivia Kay came all the way from Oklahoma to perform at Marley’s Mission Blue Ribbon Gala on Saturday.
Marley’s Mission uses horses to aid in therapy for children who have experienced trauma or abuse.
Kay, who has millions of hits on YouTube, told us she was happy to lend her voice and spend time with the horses.
“I`m really, really, really excited because all these horses are so pretty and nice. And that one`s really funny. He`s awesome. And I`ve never been to Pennsylvania, so this is my first time and it`s really cool,” Kay said.
Kay will perform Friday night at the Hilton Scranton and Conference Center to benefit Marley’s Mission. Then she will perform at the gala Saturday night.
