FRACKVILLE -- Some of our New Year's resolutions sound like a broken record and Newswatch 16 found some people in Schuylkill County who aren't afraid to break the mold with their resolutions.

Some folks in Frackville came up empty with their New Year's resolutions.

"We didn't even get started yet, we are making a list as of tomorrow," said Elizabeth Chelak, New Boston. "We are all sitting down, and hopefully write out our resolutions, I didn't even think about them yet."

Others fell back on the well worn classics. "I said I wasn't going to eat any more potato chips."

Someone's resolutions are a little more individual, they wanted "to give up scratch off lottery tickets."

One woman resolves to expand her horizons.

"I want to go to Japan and I have been wanting to do that for a while," said Lori Aleandri, Greensburg. "So that is one of my New Year's resolutions this year, to actually really go to Japan."

A German visitor to Schuylkill County wants to spend less time on the job.

"Yes this could be, correct, ya," said  Hans Hachgenei, Germany.

When asked what his boss would think about that, Hachgenei joked, "I am the boss, ha ha ha ha!"

In Frackville, we met a couple with a great resolution, to get over their cold feet and get down the aisle.

When asked if it was a fear of commitment keeping them from going down the aisle, Steve Quinn of Frackville said "Yeah. I guess. Your good. Wow. You hit the nail on the head there."

"[I want a] small party with a white dress and a nice vacation," said Kimberly Krasinski, Frackville

Now that's what we call a resolution you can stick with.
