LOWER TOWAMENSING TOWNSHIP -- Officials in Carbon County expect to release more information Monday about Friday night's crash that killed four teenagers.

The coroner said autopsies are scheduled for Monday, and positive ID’s should follow.

According to police, a car with four young people inside crossed the center of Dairy Road, near Palmerton and slammed into another car, head-on. All four young people died at the scene. Officials said the people in the other car, had non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they will not release the names of those killed because they are all under the age of 18.

Through friends, we do know the driver was a 17-year-old boy and one passenger was a 16-year-old-boy.

The other two passengers were a brother and sister; 13 year old Courtney Murray and her 16-year-old brother, Nate.

The victims all had ties to the Palmerton Area School District. One recently transferred to Lehighton Area. Officials in both districts told Newswatch 16 they will have grief counselors for students on hand Monday and maybe even Tuesday.

There was a candle light vigil to honor the victims Saturday night, and there is another scheduled for Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at Palmerton Park.
