Heating issues cancelled classes at schools in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties Wednesday.

A broken boiler was the problem at Wyoming Valley West High School in Plymouth.

The district superintendent said repairs have been made at the school.

And in Lackawanna County, Valley View Elementary was closed because of a problem with its heating system.

Officials there tell us one of the heaters did not kick on over night, so school had to be canceled.

The problem has been fixed and administrators expect everything to be back to normal for classes on Thursday.
