PLAINS TOWNSHIP — People in one community came together to provide a safe, early Halloween for some kids in Luzerne County.
The Plains Township Lions Club held their Trunk or Treat event at the Plains Township Municipal Park Sunday.
Neighbors decked out their car trunks and truck beds and handed out treats to more than 300 kids.
Prizes were given out for the best costume and best decorated trunk.
The event also collected non-perishable food for area food pantries.
