WHITE DEER TOWNSHIP -- A search and rescue dog missing since Wednesday has been found safe in Union County.
Mekane was found just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Bald Eagle State Forest near Lewisburg, according to the dog's owner.
Her owner says, other than some minor injuries to her paws, the 6-year-old German shepherd is okay.
Mekane went missing during a training exercise Wednesday night near where she was found Saturday in Union County.
