FOREST LAKE TOWNSHIP -- People are still trying to recover from damage caused by flash flooding in August in Susquehanna County.
Folks came together to help out the Demarest family whose home near Montrose was destroyed when a nearby creek came out of it's banks during flash flooding.Family Still Recovering after Flash Flooding in August
The homeowners say they were unable to get help from the government, so they were grateful for the help from the community.
"It's every day people like you and me that come and help. I appreciate everything that everybody's done so thank you," said Brenda Demarest.
Home Depot provided materials and volunteers and nearby restaurants donated food to feed those helping out the Demarest family on Saturday in Susquehanna County.
