SCRANTON -- If you have to do business at Scranton City Hall in the near future, you may have no choice but to use the stairs because the elevator is out of order.

City officials say the elevator stopped running between the third and fourth floors on Friday. They said nobody was stuck.

Several parts need to be replaced and the workers say it could take a month to repair.

Some offices located on the upper floors have moved an employee to the basement to help anyone who is handicapped and can't get up the stairs.
