LEWISBURG -- People in Union County are getting to know the men and women who keep them safe.
Thousands came out for the "National Night Out" celebration in Lewisburg on Tuesday night.
Members of local and county law enforcement gathered at the Lewisburg Area Recreation Park to show folks how they do their jobs.
"They're out here seeing entertainment, activities, events but at the same time interacting with all these agencies where they'll be able to learn about crime, drugs, health, safety," said Cpl. Travis Burrows.
Organizers estimate about 5,000 showed up to the National Night Out event.
