WILKES-BARRE -- A guilty plea was entered in Luzerne County court in connection with a bar fight that ended with a woman slashed in the face.
Melanie Figueroa pleaded guilty to simple assault Monday morning for her involvement in the fight at the former Prospect Street Cafe in Nanticoke back on New Year's Day 2012.
Jennifer Mieczkowski was slashed in the face in that brawl.
She told investigators she believes Figueroa is the one who did it, however, Figueroa was never charged with the actual slashing.
Figueroa is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
