SCRANTON — A magistrate dismissed some charges against a former corrections officer accused of raping female inmates at the Lackawanna County Prison.
Joe Black of Dickson City was in court again on Friday.
Black is accused of raping four female inmates and sexually assaulting three others at the prison.
The magistrate dismissed three charges pertaining to one of the alleged victims because he said her testimony was based on hearsay.
However, he says there is enough evidence to send the rest of the charges against Black to trial in Lackawanna County.
