TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP — A man was sentenced to spend up to eight years in prison after holding his stepdaughter and her 6-year-old daughter hostage last year in Monroe County.

It happened inside a mobile home in July 2013 at the Pocono Plateau trailer park near Blakeslee.

Officers say Edward Terantino surrendered after the four-hour standoff.

He was sentenced this week to four to eight years in state prison.
