State police in Snyder County said they arrested a man who they believe led authorities on a high-speed chase earlier in April.
Troopers took Charles Horrax, 44, of Bloomsburg into custody Wednesday, just after he was released from the mental health ward of a hospital.
Authorities said Horrax led them on a chase after a traffic stop on Route 522 in Snyder county on April 3.
According to troopers, during the chase Horrax pulled over in a Weis Market Grocery Store parking lot, held two knives to his own throat and refused to drop them or get out of the vehicle. He then took off again.
State police gave up the chase because, they said, they were worried about other people getting hurt by the speeding vehicles.
