UPDATE: According to PA American Water, repairs have been made and service is back on.
WILKES-BARRE — Some homes in part of Luzerne County were without water Monday morning.
A broken water pipe on East Charles Street near Wilkes-Barre was found around 2:30 a.m.
Crews had the street shutdown from South Main Street to the end of the road until about 6:45 a.m.
About 40 homes were affected by the break.
