MAHONING TOWNSHIP -- Being stuck in the hospital is never fun, but some veterans went out of their way to cheer up patients at Janet Weis Children's Hospital near Danville.

The United States Submarine Veterans out of Williamsport visited with patients on Friday and brought along some gifts.

"It's probably one of the most rewarding things all of us get to do. You know what I mean by rewarding. That personal satisfaction each of us gets is immeasurable," said William Reasner, U.S. Submarines Veterans Inc.

During their visit, the vets gave young patients baseball caps and made them honorary submariners.
