Mother nature finally cooperated as the RailRiders took to PNC Field for an open workout, just two days before the team opens the International League season in Syracuse.

More than 100 fans turned out to meet the players.

This season, the team returns some familiar faces, like manager Dave Miley, and some new ones that promise to be popular, like slugging infielder Russ Canzler, a Hazleton area native.

The grounds crew says the field is in great shape. Especially given the harsh winter.

After the practice on the field, the players entertained fans inside the stadium, at this annual meet and greet for season ticket holders.

It'll be another week before the team returns to PNC Field after opening the season in Syracuse and Rochester, the RailRiders home opener is set for next Thursday, April 10th.
