BLOOMSBURG -- Hundreds came out to sample the soups at Bloomsburg University on Sunday for the event called "Empty Bowls."

This is the 12th year soup has been dished out to benefit the Bloomsburg Food Cupboard.

Restaurants and community groups donated the soup and breads. Keepsake bowls decorated by local artists were for sale. The event was held to remind folks there are people who go hungry right in their community.

The Bloomsburg Food Cupboard serves hundreds of people every week. They expect to raise $10,000 at the Empty Bowl Fundraiser at Bloomsburg University.
