AVOCA — Drivers faced delays on Interstate 81 in Luzerne County Thursday morning.
According to PennDOT, Interstate 81 southbound was down to one lane near the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport exit (178) beginning around 9:30 a.m.
Crews installed beams on a bridge over Plane Street in Avoca.
PennDOT officials said the work got finished ahead of schedule and reopened the lanes by noon.
