AVIS -- Three businesses were badly damaged by a fire in Clinton County Sunday just before 2 p.m.
The blaze tore through a building that has three companies inside: Pine Mountain Excavating, Wilks Contracting, and Pine Mountain Primitives.
According to Dean Edwards, owner of Pine Mountain Excavating, he was working in the building when he heard a pop and went outside to see one wall and the roof on fire.
Half a dozen fire companies were called to the fire on West Central Avenue in Avis to put it out.
No injuries were reported.
