Valentine's Day is said to be the most romantic day of the year. It is also one of the busiest days of the year for candy companies, florists and restaurants. One restaurant manager in Bloomsburg says he actually has to turn people away if they don't have reservations.

"We'll get a little bit of business on Thursday beforehand. The people who can't come in on Friday will spill over into Saturday and Sunday. It ends up being a 4-5 day holiday," Michael Smith said.

Michael Smith is the manager at Rose Marie's Restaurant in Bloomsburg. He says his restaurant is almost completely booked for Valentine's Day, and his staff is busy getting ready for the extra busy weekend.

"If this week's forecast is correct, we could see a lot more of this stuff right before Valentine's Day. That could put a damper on people's dining plans," Smith said.

"If it hits Friday during our dinner hour, that will have a negative impact. If it hits Thursday and can clear out by Friday afternoon it's not a big deal," Smith said.

Some potential Valentine's Day diners say the snow will keep them home on Friday.

"Sometimes a good pizza, maybe a heart-shaped pizza will do it. You can get creative at home," Wendy Calarco said.

Amy Bensinger of Berwick disagrees. She was recently hit by cupid's arrow, and says nothing will stop her Valentine's Day plans!

"I just got engaged on Saturday so no matter what, it's going to be a special Valentine's Day," Bensinger said.

Restaurant owners recommend making your Valentine's Day reservations now, if you haven't already.
