BLACK CREEK TOWNSHIP -- A crash involving a tractor-trailer and pickup truck shutdown both lanes of Interstate 80 west in Luzerne County on Thursday morning.
According to responders, the wreck happened around 5:30 a.m. on I-80 west near mile marker 250 which is around the Conyngham/Nescopeck Exit.
Authorities said the rig hit a guide rail causing the tractor-trailer to spin. A pick-up truck behind slammed into the trailer. Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
Due to the wreck, Berwick Area School District said transportation will be delayed for Nescopeck elementary students.
