Celebrate B.A.S.I.C. – Building Around Social Skills, Inclusion & Communication

In Stroudsburg, the Hughes Eastern Monroe Public Library celebrates “Building Around Social Skills, Inclusion & Communication”.  Children with challenges such as ADHD and Aspergers, along with a parent or caregiver, have fun with a “gathering place” for learning experiences to spark curiosity.  It’s held at the library on Route 611, Saturday, February 8 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Children have a new event every second Saturday of the month so please check the program at

Winterfest 2014

Bundle up and bring the family to Winterfest at Lackawanna State Park.  There’ll be ice fishing demonstrations, winter survival techniques, snow-shoeing, & sledding.  Hot food & beverages will be available at the Learning Center.  Winterfest at Lackawanna State Park in Dalton is Saturday, February 8 starting at 11 a.m.  No registration is required and all events are free of charge.  Meet at the Environmental Learning Center for the location of events.  For further information call 570-945-7110.
