ASHLEY -- A man is in custody after police said shots were fired in Luzerne County.
Officers said someone opened fire along North Main Street in Ashley around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Police said a man fled from the scene and crashed into another car on Blackman Street in Wilkes-Barre.
He then tried to take off on foot, but was caught by police. An assault rifle was also found at the crash scene. The man was taken to the Ashley Police station to be questioned.
Police have not said if the man taken into custody is responsible for the shots fired.
There are no reports of anyone hurt after the shots fired and crash.
