WILKES-BARRE — One of the men involved in a violent carjacking case on Interstate 81 in 2012 was will spend at least five years in a state prison.
Friday afternoon, a Luzerne County judge sentenced Leonard Montalvo-Rivera of Hazleton to five to 13 years behind bars.
He was found guilty at trial last year.
Rivera was one of four men who held a woman at gunpoint in June of 2012, made off with her van, and drove it to the Beaver Meadows area
