AVOCA -- After landing safely at the airport in Luzerne County on Saturday, an airman in the Air Force had a surprise for the woman he loves.

Newswatch 16 was at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport when Craig Harvey got on one knee and popped the question to his girlfriend.

Harvey has been stationed at an Air Force base in Texas since July.

His bride-to-be was very unsuspecting, but all smiles after being asked to marry Harvey.

"Oh my god unbelievably surprised. I'm still shaking, and I feel like I'm going to collapse on the floor right now. Yes, I'm extremely beyond happy," said Kelsey Witner of West Hazleton.

Harvey said he wanted to surprise Kelsey and went for it.

He's home from basic training for a little while and then leaves again for a year.
