BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP — A former teacher was in court in Susquehanna County on Friday.
Cheryl Arnold pleaded guilty to stealing more than $97,000 from the teachers’ union in the Montrose Area School District.
She was the treasurer for the organization.
The District Attorney’s office in Susquehanna County said if Arnold repays $50,000 of what she owes before sentencing in January, the charges against her will be reduced to a single misdemeanor.
