MAHONING TOWNSHIP -- In just a few more days, Santa Claus will come to town! Many children already sat on Santa's lap and told him what they want for Christmas.

However, some children are not able to do that because they are in the hospital.

Lia Hart of Montoursville is undergoing chemotherapy at Geisinger Medical Center near Danville. The six year old got a big surprise when Santa's elves stopped by her hospital room, and brought Saint Nick himself via "Santa Cam" on an iPad!

"Did you tell him what you want for Christmas?" asked the reporter, "Zoomer. Zoomer? And some toys? Uh huh," Hart said.

The staff at Geisinger Medical Center near Danville is trying to put children in the Christmas spirit even though they aren't feeling well.

One year old Doran recently had kidney surgery. His parents said they loved seeing the smile on his face when Santa came to say hi.

"This was his first time because last year he was born premature, and he didn't get the chance to do this. So this would be his first time seeing Santa, yes," Naomi Anderson said.

This year for the first time through special "Santa Cam" technology, Saint Nick also got to visit children at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.

"It's so much fun to bring Santa into these kids' rooms. It's really a blast," Mary Tiffin (Head Elf) said.

Santa Claus has visited children at Geisinger Medical Center via Santa Cam for the past six years. This week he will visit around 60 children.

"We like to bring the joy and the wonder of Christmas to the kids in the rooms. It's really so much fun," Tiffin said.

Santa's elves brought each child a toy, and Santa had a special message for everyone.

"He said be a good girl. He told you to be a good girl? Yeah," Hart said.

Santa made sure to tell all of the children they are on the nice list this year.
