HONESDALE — Skiing or sledding. They sound like pretty reasonable outdoor activities for a day like Saturday.

But a radio personality in Honesdale showered outside in the cold to raise thousands of dollars to help kids have a good Christmas.

Michael G. Stanton held his 12th shower for charity along Main Street.

The temperatures were in the 20’s and it was snowing for the three hours Stanton showered outdoors.

All the money raised goes to the Wayne County children’s Christmas bureau.

Stanton surpassed his goal and raised more than $21,000 dollars for the charity in Wayne County.
