Chris Warren got things started for the Saints out of Berks Catholic on Saturday afternoon at Endless Mountains Stadium in Towanda in the PIAA "AA" State Quarterfinal playoff football game with the Troy Trojans-the District IV champions. It was Warren bursting around the right end for a 70 yard touchdown and a 6-0 lead for Berks Catholic. The extra point was no good.

With 3:53 to go in the 1st quarter Warren again on the mis-direction wing t hand off scampering 31 yards to the end zone and a 13-0 lead for the Saints.

Berks Catholic would add another score after a short punt and long return to make it 20-0.

With 5:08 to play in the 2nd quarter Marcus Wilson scored from the 1 yard line and Berks Catholic took a 26-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

The second half a more even game with each team trading scores. The Saints score coming in the 4th quarter from Pop Lacey-a 46 yard touchdown run while the Trojans scored with under 2:00 minutes to play on Jed Wright's 1 yard keeper. The final score from Bradford County had Berks Catholic winning 33-6 and advancing to next week's Eastern Final.

Troy finishes the year with a (11-3) record. The three losses coming to Wellsboro, Loyalsock and Berks Catholic. The Trojans had a great run thru the District IV playoffs knocking off Mt. Carmel, Montoursville, and Danville. In this same bracket game a season ago the Ironmen lost to Wyomissing 50-0 with Wyomissing going onto win the AA state title. Will will see if Berks Catholic can do the same.
