WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP -- One of the hottest holiday items hit store shelves early Friday morning.

Newswatch 16 found plenty of people in our area eager to pick an Xbox One. The lines were long at a Best Buy near Wilkes-Barre as the new game system was handed out just after midnight Friday morning.

Some people had been lined up for hours to grab on the latest gaming console from Microsoft.

"I mean, I'm a college student. What college student doesn't like to play video games?  I figured I'd get it now since I work so much and I have the money," said Pat Connelly.

"The graphics, the games, not the price," said Paul Garren.

Of course people were lined up across the country for a chance to buy this ninth generation console.

The Xbox One comes with hefty price tag of $599.
