Two Sentenced For Waste Dumping Scheme

HONESDALE — The owner of waste removal company in Wayne County and his supervisor have been sentenced in an illegal dumping scheme.

Joseph Bunnell of Honesdale was sentenced Thursday to serve three to 18 months in county prison and pay a fine of $8,500.

The supervisor of the waste removal company, Jody Rickert of Honesdale, was sentenced to six months probation, 50 hours of community service, and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine.

The two were accused of illegally burning and burying waste in Wayne County.
