It looks like it will soon cost you even more to mail a letter. The U.S. Postal Service wants to raise postage prices again.

The changes were announced Wednesday.

The price of a first-class stamp on a one ounce letter would go from 46 to 49 cents.

Letters that weigh more than one ounce would go up 21 cents per ounce.

Mail to international destinations would now cost $1.15.

Postcards would increase from 33 to 34 cents.

The proposed changes are set to take effect in January.
